Are You Looking For A Website To Host Your Photos On?

By: Kristi Ambrose

As a person that takes a lot of different pictures for a lot of different things, I am always looking for websites that offer free hosting of images. I do photography plus I sell a lot of things on eBay (among other sites like craiglist) as well so I am always taking photos of items I own and keeping them in case I ever want to use them again. Now I know what your thinking, aren't all sites the same? Nope! All sites are different and that is why I like to check all of them out and see which ones offer what features and benefits.

Personally I don't like websites like other photos because
A)
they are easy to break into (you just have to switch the code and you can easily see their private pics) and,
B)
they are way too popular which in turn makes the site go on info overload which makes the site super slow.

Plus with other sites and the rest of those sites online your photos have to be a certain size, which really sucks because sometimes this can compromise your images. This isn't exactly an option when you need to show the image to a potential buyer! As a photographer my images tend to be the size of a very large wall so when I have to upload them I either have to downsize them myself or they just won't accept the pictures and that just becomes increasingly annoying when you want to share photos with your friends or with customers!

These newer sites have a ton of room and some super special features such as zero size limits, zero bandwidth limits and you can either upload from a link on the Internet or you can upload a picture from your computer.

Personally I tried a few of these websites myself and they are super quick and you don't have to register so its even quicker to just add, upload, go! The only thing these sites won't allow; photo wise, are nude photos but that's sort of a given! If you do decide to register by the way, you will be given an account where you can keep all of your photos organized and private (if you so choose)! Display as many as you want, upload as many as you want, it's free, it's easy and its convenient! Why wouldn't you try these websites out!

Try these three sites out if you get a chance or if you want to host photos some time:

TinyPic: Tinypic is a fast, simple and reliable video and image hosting site that you can use to share your experiences. There is no registration or log-in required, simply submit your picture or video. That makes it the perfect site for linking to MySpace, eBay, Orkut scrapbooks, message boards, forums, blogs, journals, e-mail, IM, and other websites.

Photobucket: Sharing of photos, videos, and albums by email, IM, and mobile phone. Friends and family don't need an account on Photobucket to see your stuff. They just need to click the link you give them. So stop emailing photo attachments around, and start sharing with Photobucket.

SeeThisItem: While selling items on the Internet has become a popular trend over the past few years, many people still prefer the ease of buying and selling items within their local community. This is evident in the number of local newspaper classified ads listed each week. However, including a photo with your classified ad has never been cost effective until now. Our goal is to provide an inexpensive and easy to use service for our customers and to transform traditional newspaper classified ads through the use of online photos.
